Head artist of Monster in my Closet: Jeremy Selenfriend has been bringing to life the various things which lurk in his imagination (not to mention in his shop) professionally for nearly a decade, but has been thinking them up, and making them for himself, since he was 10 years old and allowed to decorate the house for Halloween.

Jeremy trained in the field of make-up and special effects at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and also with renowned make-up creator Dick Smith.  He honed his craft through internships and apprenticeships with some of the tri-state area's finest artists.

After years of successful freelancing, Jeremy jumped into the field head first by opening the doors to Monster in my Closet in 2003.  After several years in a small shop, the work load grew, and Jeremy expanded the shop into an amazing and huge location in East Orange NJ.  The fully loaded workshop (complete with photo studio) is located just outside of Manhattan (exit 148 on the Garden State Parkway).

Through Monster in my Closet FX, Jeremy and a dedicated team of amazing artists is responsible for bringing an endless stream of monsters, ghouls, and the seemingly unimaginable to local (and many not-so- local) film-makers on both small and large budgeted films and shows.  Monster in my Closet can almost always find a way to work within your budget to bring your vision to life!

"Enjoy the site, my work is a representation of sheer passion and joy for the field.  I love what I do, and that shines through in every project I take on.  Please browse around, contact me with any questions or comments, and remember to shut your closet door before turning off the lights..."
